The season has been warm and we are already seeing new growth on our strawberry plants. Harvest usually begins approximately 30 days from the first blooms. We will keep you posted as to when we see our first flowers!
We have been in prayer for our nation and community over the past few weeks due to the disruptions and uncertainty surrounding COVID-19. In light of all the precautions required by the situation, we are working hard to develop a system which promotes proper social distancing protocols. Because we are still early in our planting season, we will wait to finalize and unveil any such plans when we have a better idea of the state of things during our actual harvest times.
In the mean time, for the first time ever, we are looking to implement our first ever Community Supported Agriculture endeavor. We are hoping, during Spring of 2020, to begin a small Berries and Blooms CSA where we supply local families with a share of whatever berries we harvest: primarily strawberries and blackberries, but hopefully also some raspberries. As well, we will be growing flowers and providing blooms and special discount rates on our other farm produce and experiences exclusively for our CSA members.
If you are interested in either the u-pick strawberries or in obtaining a Berries and Blooms CSA share, please subscribe below. See you all soon!
